Day Fifty Two : Oh, Hi There!

Graduation is VERY soon!

OK. Shall we address the elephant in the room before we go on? I haven't blogged in 10 days. 10 whole days. Wow. Though actually, I've done a fair bit of slacking in that time. 

I had a McDonald's breakfast the morning after Taylor Swift, and have only been to the gym twice since I got back from Tenerife! So so bad.

BUT.

I'm back, and committed, so let's go!

I had a really nice surprise at work today! You know you sometimes get it, when you genuinely don't expect anything from anyone, or expect anyone to know what's happening. But they do, and it makes you really happy?

That happened to me today. I have Monday off work for my graduation, which is fairly exciting. I've mentioned it a couple of times at work, but just in passing. Truth be told, I'm not actually that excited for it! But I suppose it's a rite of passage that every graduate must go to, fully hatted and gowned! 

So today, at around 5pm, the head of department stood front and centre and said that the department hadn't forgotten about the reason I am off on Monday, and wanted to give me the pictured congratulations card. 

I just thought it was so nice. It's a reminder that sometimes, it really is the thought that counts. 

Other than that, today was the first real time that it struck me, that the weather seems (touch MASSIVE wood) to be clearing up a little bit. This whole week I've been scarfing / gloving / hatting up to walk to work, when actually it's not been that cold out! 

And also, it's SO light out when I leave for work! Bring on 30th March for British Summertime!
